Trading cards fee rates

|---|---|---|---|
| Final value fee — first tier | 13.25% | Orders up to $7,500 | official ↗ 2026-10-21 ↗ |

| Insertion fee | $0.35/listing | After 250 free listings per month | official ↗ 2026-10-21 ↗ |
The tier covers the collectible card categories — Sports Trading Cards, Non-Sport Trading Cards, CCG and Comic Books & Memorabilia — under one 13.25% line, not a separate "cards tax" on top of the general rate.
A caliber you'll still see online is stale. Some card-fee tools quote trading cards as 13.25% plus 1.29% + $0.20 as a separate payment line. That doesn't match the current official page: eBay's single final value fee already includes payment processing, and the only per-order charges are the $0.30/$0.40 fee above. If a calculator stacks a payment-processing line on a card sale, its rate card predates managed payments.
Worked examples: from raw lot to high-grade
| Sale price | eBay fee | You net |
|---|---|---|
| $100 raw single | $13.65 | $86.35 |
| $500 graded card | $66.65 | $433.35 |
| $7,500 high-grade | $994.15 | $6,505.85 |
| $10,000 case hit | $1,052.90 | $8,947.10 |
The $10,000 row shows the two-tier math in one line: 13.25% × $7,500 = $993.75, then 2.35% × the remaining $2,500 = $58.75, plus $0.40 per order = $1,052.90. Above $7,500, each extra dollar of price costs you 2.35¢ in fees — the marginal rate drops by more than 10 points.
Per-order & insertion fees
Two small lines that card sellers hit constantly:
- Per-order fee — $0.40 on orders over $10.00, $0.30 at $10.00 or below. On a $3.99 bulk common, $0.30 is 7.5% of the sale; it's part of why low-value lots lose money.
- Insertion fee — the first 250 listings per month are free, then $0.35 each. Card sellers listing hundreds of singles routinely cross 250; at 500 listings a month you're paying $87.50 in insertion fees alone. Track it in the profit calculator.
Should card sellers open an eBay store?
Store subscriptions change the final value fee and the insertion allowance — for high-volume or high-dollar card sellers the 2.35% over-$7,500 tier meeting a store discount is exactly where the math gets interesting. The full tier table, the discount lines and the break-even monthly sales are worked through on the store fees guide.
Pokemon vs sports cards
Same tier, same page. The 13.25% collectible-cards line covers Sports Trading Cards, Non-Sport Trading Cards, CCGs and comic memorabilia — Pokemon, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and sports singles all sit in one rate bucket on eBay's official fee table. There is no separate "Pokemon fee"; the difference that matters between Pokemon and sports cards is your sale price and grading culture, not the rate.

FAQ
How much does eBay take on Pokemon cards?
13.25% of the total sale up to $7,500 (2.35% above), plus $0.40 per order — $13.65 on a $100 card, netting $86.35 (verified Oct 21, 2026). Pokemon sits in the same collectible-cards tier as sports cards.
What's the final value fee on sports cards?
13.25% on orders up to $7,500, then 2.35% on the excess, plus the $0.40 per-order fee — a $500 graded card pays $66.65 in fees. Source: eBay's official selling fees page, verified Oct 21, 2026.
Do graded cards pay a different eBay fee?
No — eBay's fee table sets rates by category and price tier, not by graded vs raw. A PSA 10 and a raw copy of the same card pay the same 13.25% + $0.40 at the same sale price.
Is a store worth it for card sellers?
It depends on your volume and price mix — store subscriptions trade a monthly fee for lower final value fees and more free listings. See the tier table and the break-even monthly sales on our eBay store fees guide.
Does the $0.40 per-order fee apply to cards?
Yes — every card order over $10.00 carries the $0.40 per-order fee ($0.30 at $10.00 or below). It's already included in every payout figure on this page.
