Fee calculators stop at fees. This one goes one step further: enter what you paid for the item, and see actual profit after eBay's final value fee, per-order fee and your cost of goods.

Quick answer On a $100 eBay sale in most categories you keep $86.00 after the 13.6% final value fee and $0.40 per-order fee; subtract what you paid for the item to get true profit — per eBay's official selling fees page, verified Oct 18, 2026. eBay: selling fees (official) ↗

From fee to profit

“You keep” is what eBay pays out. Profit is what's left after the money you spent on the goods — and, if you track it separately, shipping labels you buy, packaging and the prorated cost of returns. This calculator subtracts item cost; everything else stays yours to add in the spreadsheet template.

Don't forget the tax side

Profit is also what the IRS cares about. The 2026 federal 1099-K threshold is >$20,000 and >200 transactions — but you owe income tax on profit whether or not a form shows up. eBay 1099-K rules explained →

FAQ

How is profit different from payout?

Payout is the sale minus eBay fees. Profit subtracts what you paid for the item (and any other costs you track). This calculator shows both.

Does this include shipping label costs?

eBay labels you buy are deducted from your payout separately; model them by raising the item cost, or track them in the spreadsheet template.

Are the fee rates current?

Yes — verified against eBay's official selling fees page, versioned v2026.10.2, verified Oct 18, 2026. Every fee line links to its source.

Is this calculator free?

Yes — free, no account, runs entirely in your browser.
