Two UK-specific notes US guides get wrong: the Regulatory Operating fee (0.48%) exists only for UK-based sellers — it's a separate line on every order, not part of the transaction fee. And the processing rate for a UK bank account is 4% + £0.20, not the US 3% + $0.25 — check which country a calculator is actually using before trusting its payout figure.
VAT on seller fees — kept separate, on purpose. If you haven't added a UK VAT ID, Etsy adds 20% VAT on your seller fees (transaction, processing, regulatory operating, listing, subscriptions, Offsite Ads). The statutory 20% rate is anchored to the UK government's official page (gov.uk/vat-rates ↗); Etsy's own page states "VAT may vary" without a number. Offsite Ads in the UK
Same structure as the US, same USD anchors: 15% on attributed orders if your trailing 365-day sales are under $10,000 (you can opt out), 12% once you've hit $10,000 (mandatory, never reverts), capped at $100 USD per order.
